Braiding Sweetgrass is a gem of a text that should be read in every classroom in the United States of America. The combination of Science, Sprituality, and Prose brought by Robin Wall Kimmerer; an indigenous scientist whos work and very being seems to act as a much needed bridge to help the colonized and colonizers return to a more balanced way of being.

Fairies- Yoshitaka Amano; gorgeous, dream-like illustrations of fairies and snippets of literature from different cultures (celtic, scottish, Irish, British, shakespeare). It was interesting to learn that Japan does not have a word for fairies, that the concept basically unknown to them until the 1980s- understood through illustration, which I find is a testament to the power of art.
