Liberally liked the book for a quick read. I like how it spoke about her and her part in the Revolutionary war, bringing to light what the women and young girls were able to do

Witty, funny and sarcastic with beautiful illustrations. 15 minutes of reading time spent on this, additional 45 on Circe

The Hunger Games

I cannot really set the book down. I have been having a hard time getting back into reading and this book has helped. Still painfully relevant to the times, the brutal and immense world that Suzanne Collins has woven will continue to be relevant and filled with important messages for years to come.

We liked the pictures, characters, the overall message of the book, and didn't like how the sandcastle kept getting squished.

It was a funny book with some funny phrasing and kids jokes and I loved. It was very comical and the journey was great too.

Not as good as the first one, however it had a semi original plot and well developed characters (except for the puppeteer).

This is a wonderful, thoughtful book that is an insightful meditation on our relationship to land and the environment.

Shadow and Bone

Shadow and Bone is one of my favorites, if not my favorite, reads ever. The world was just so magical and fun. The romance was cute and entertaining. While I expected the plot twist, it was still jarring. I went from being wary of the 'villain' to loving him, to hating him at the end. Same with the love interest. Leigh Bardugo is a very talented writer and I admire her skills in writing. I highly suggest giving Shadow and Bone a try, even if you're not into fantasy. (I wasn't all that much until now.)
