It was a great podcast! It taught you about Leonardo Da Vinci and about the Mona Lisa being stolen!

It was sort of boring to read but I did like how the book explained things

The rivalry was indeed heated. I can see why the show became so popular

Manga Classics: Pride And Prejudice

Wow! This word followed me the whole way through the book. With its absolutely stunning art work and its excellent recreation of the original book, it has certainly earned five stars. Though the book is written in an unfamiliar style, manga, I definitely enjoyed reading and gazing upon the gorgeous artwork. The illustrator did an incredible job developing the appearances of the characters in their different time frame. Also the background practically captures the amazing surroundings of Elizabeth Bennet’s world. I would love nothing more but to praise the author and artist of this wonderful manga book for recreating something that is so much more than stunning, absolutely remarkable!

The Hunger Games

I cannot really set the book down. I have been having a hard time getting back into reading and this book has helped. Still painfully relevant to the times, the brutal and immense world that Suzanne Collins has woven will continue to be relevant and filled with important messages for years to come.

"I plucked one feather from my hood and left it on his forehead, for, his, head. For a souvenir, for a warning, for a lick of night in the morning. For a little break in the mourning." A poignant, scattered look at grieving- full of love, hope, rage, memories, and a crow as a guide through it all

Liberally liked the book for a quick read. I like how it spoke about her and her part in the Revolutionary war, bringing to light what the women and young girls were able to do

Shadow and Bone
by Leigh Bardugo

Shadow and Bone is one of my favorites, if not my favorite, reads ever. The world was just so magical and fun. The romance was cute and entertaining. While I expected the plot twist, it was still jarring. I went from being wary of the 'villain' to loving him, to hating him at the end. Same with the love interest. Leigh Bardugo is a very talented writer and I admire her skills in writing. I highly suggest giving Shadow and Bone a try, even if you're not into fantasy. (I wasn't all that much until now.)

Things Fall Apart
by Chinua Achebe

Things Fall Apart was a surprisingly impactful book to read. Achebe did such a wonderful job of pulling the reader into the tribal world in Nigeria, feeling for the people and their ways, and then carefully expressing the devastation of christian imperialism. The last paragraph and line hit me in the gut. No wonder this is a classic novel.
